Fade In & Out Effect Without Keyframing in After Effects
If you are using Opacity to render Fade In and Fade Out effects in After Effects, you are out of your way. There are effects created for you to easily handle Fade In and Fade Out effects.
When you type Fade in the search box in the Effects panel, two presets will appear in the behaviors folder, and you can use these presets to Fade In or Fade Out when you apply them to a layer, they will automatically give Fade In and Fade Out effects.
For example, I’m dragging Frames onto the layer. You will see the Fade In and Fade Out parameters in the Effect Control panel. Here, you’ll see numbers meaning 15 frames will be Fade In, 15 frames will be Fade Out. And when I play the scene, 15 frames will be Fade In and 15 frames will be Fade Out.
As you can see, we have given the Fade In and Fade Out without adding any key frame and let’s try the same with the option for seconds. We need to think in milliseconds, as written here. And as you can see, we have automatically added to Fade In and Fade Out effects in seconds this time.
